Bye Bye Pacifiers!

Well, we finally did it. We said goodbye to the pacifiers! Yes, it is plural because Avery had to have two with her when she would sleep; one in her mouth and the other that she would hold in her hand. It's hard for me to explain in words how much Avery loved her paci's (sp?), you just had to see her with them! We were both scared of how this traumatic experience would go, but we set a date a couple of weeks ago, and promised ourselves that we would stick to it no matter what.

Last Monday night, the Paci Fairy visited the Dial house. Avery seemed excited about the idea and didn't hesitate at all when putting them into the gift bag. It wasn't until she was tucked into bed that she realized her precious pacies were gone. Well, after a few nights of tears and heart wrenching cries for her paci (from both Avery and mom), we have finally had a few tearless nights. Yay!!!



Oh.......the innocence. She had no idea what was really coming, poor girl. She had already put one of her pacifiers in the bag before we started recording.

It was a rough night, but all smiles the next morning.
